Let’s patronize Dzata Cement to complement Akufo Addo’s industrialization agenda – MP

The Akufo-Addo led Government is making conscious effort to ensure that indigenous Ghanaian businesses flourish, the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso constituency, Davis Ansah Opoku has said.
The Mpraeso constituency Legislator has made a passionate call to the Ghanaian populace to make a conscious effort to patronize Dzata cement if the country wants to achieve President Akufo-Addo’s industrialization agenda.

The MP made the call during the Leadership of Parliament’s visit, led by the Suame Legislator, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and the leader of the Minority Mr. Haruna Idrissu, leadership of the Works and housing, and the trades committees respectively paid a working visit to Dzata Cement factory in Tema.
The visit was to ascertain for themselves the level of progress of work the factory has built by an Indigenous Ghanaian.
The Members of the Ghanaian Parliament toured the factory and inspected the facilities.
Speaking to a team of Press men in his remarks, Mr. Davis Ansah Opoku expressed shock at the level of work that has been done by the Dzata Cement. The MP, however called on all Ghanaians to support the factory.

He said, it is very important for Ghanaians to support the Dzata Cement if the country wants to give true meaning to Akufo Addo’s industrialization agenda.
“I’m shocked at the level of progress I’ve seen at the Dzata Cement factory. I’m calling on all Ghanaians to support this factory because it is important to do so if we want to give true meaning to Akufo Addo’s industrialization agenda. What Dzata cement has built here will employ thousands of Ghanaians if we give him the needed support, the MP stated.
He further said, many industrial nations have developed and moved steps simply because they ignited the spirit of patronizing internal products.
“Many  industrial countries have developed because they adopted the habit of buying from their own products and once Ghanaians do same, we are sure we will make progress”, he added.

Dzata Cement company is a fully Ghanaian-owned cement processing factory located in Tema. Construction of the factory began in 2011. The facility begun operations by the first quarter of 2018, and was projected to create 1,200 direct jobs.
It is fully owned incorporated Ghanaian company by, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama who also owns Engineers and Planners Construction firm.
