Nkechi Ibu, daughter of Nigerian actor John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, has ended her nine-month-old marriage with her TikTok husband, Kelvin.
The couple got married in a private ceremony in February 2020. However, in a recent post on her Instagram page, Nkechi announced that she is now single.
She wrote:
“I am now single. I have ended my marriage with my TikTok husband. We were married for nine months.”
Nkechi’s decision to end her marriage comes as a surprise to many, as the couple appeared to be very happy together. In a recent TikTok video, Nkechi had gushed about how much she loved her husband and how he was always there for her.
However, it appears that the marriage was not as perfect as it seemed. Sources close to the couple say that there were problems in the marriage from the start. It is alleged that Nkechi’s husband was always away working and that she was left alone for long periods of time.
This is said to have put a strain on the marriage and led to Nkechi feeling isolated and lonely. It is also claimed that Nkechi’s husband was not supportive of her career and that he was always trying to control her.
Sources say that the final straw came when Nkechi’s husband allegedly tried to stop her from pursuing her dreams. This led to a huge argument between the couple and ultimately led to Nkechi ending the marriage.
Although the marriage has ended, it seems that there is no bad blood between the ex-couple. Nkechi has said that she wishes her ex-husband all the best in the future.
