The joint force will be tasked with providing security and stability across the country and also helping to disrupt the activities of terrorist groups.
The two leaders also discussed the need for economic cooperation between the two countries in order to help improve the economic situation in Burkina Faso. President Nana Addo promised to provide Burkina Faso with financial and technical assistance in order to help the country develop its economy.
Ghana’s support for Burkina Faso is part of a wider effort by the African Union to help the country end its conflict and restore peace and security. The African Union has already deployed a peacekeeping mission to Burkina Faso and is currently working to provide security and stability across the country.
